Book Fair
GW Skene is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair on December 9, 11, and 12.
If students would like to make a purchase, please come to school with cash or a debit card. All purchases support our school library so Ms. Hunt can order new books for everyone to enjoy!

Every Friday in December we will be having a ‘spirit day’! Students are invited to participate in some or all!
Friday December 12th: Favorite Sweater/ Holiday Sweater Day 🎄
Friday December 19th: Pajama Day 
Winter Weather and Safety at School
Let it snow! We have been enjoying the fresh snow at school, but there are a actions we need to take to ensure everyone stays safe on their way to and from school, as well as on the playground and dry pond.
- Please make sure students are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions. We will be outside for recess unless the temperature dips below –20 Celsius (with windchill)
- Please remind students that roads are slippery, and we need to use crosswalks to ensure cars see us and have time to stop when we are crossing the road.
- Students love sliding on the hill into the dry pond. It is important that students are safe and ensure others are safe by going down the hill one at a time.
