NATIONAL INDIGENOUS PEOPLE’S DAY
Today was an amazing day of music, learning, being outside, and creating connections with our JSM buddies! Thank you to Billy Joseph for an incredible day filled with Metis music and storytelling. We also want to shout out Forest Lawn Co-op for donating a sweet treat and snack for all JSM/GSW students.
Most importantly, we want to send a special thank you to the students at JSM for joining us.
LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL
A reminder that Thursday, June 27th is the last day of school. Students will be dismissed at 11:55 AM to start their summer break!
Students are asked to check the lost and found and take home all their belongings before break. Items left over the summer will be available for pick up when we return in August.

JUNE WELLNESS CHALLENGE
The CBE Indigenous Education Team would like to invite all CBE staff, families and community members to (re)align your spirit-heart-body-mind during the month of June to enhance, your well-being and intercultural understanding.
Week Four Challenge: Land

Challenge yourself to learn from the Indigenous peoples in Treaty 7 what the month’s moon is called and how the name of this lunar cycle is connected to the land and the natural elements in which we are all connected.
