NO SCHOOL TOMORROW
A reminder that there is no school on Friday, May 17 and Monday, May 20. We will welcome students back on Tuesday, May 21.
UPCOMING GUEST SPEAKER
G.W. Skene and James Short Memorial School Council will be hosting a special guest speaker for parents on May 30th at 6:30 pm in the GWS Learning Commons. Jamie Pope is a psychologist who has been working with families in Calgary for 15 years. She is passionate about helping people to find the best ways to navigate change and know how to grow along with their families. Jamie knows that every family and child is different. There are no magic solutions to how hard it can be to grow up but there are common ways we can think about child development and support healthy growth. We are very excited for this event and hope our parent community will be able to join us!
SPRING WEATHER
As the weather changes and summer approaches, it is important that students are ready for the weather! Rain or shine, we will be outside. If the air quality index reaches above a 7, students will be kept indoors.
