A reminder that there is no school on Monday, October 14th (Thanksgiving) for staff and students. Enjoy the long weekend!  

School Council  

Please join us for our October School Council meeting on Thursday, October 17 at 6:00 pm. We will be in person in the G.W. Skene Learning Commons, but you will also have the option to join online. The link will be sent mid-week. Children are welcome to attend with their parents and light snacks will be provided.

Book Fair 

Mark your calendars! The Scholastic Book Fair will be at G.W. Skene from October 22nd to 25th, including during school conferences. More information will be shared next week about the book fair.  

Spotlight 

We are so excited to have Spotlight up and running this school year! Students have the opportunity to work in cross-graded groups (a Grade 4, Grade 5, and Grade 6) to focus on social-emotional learning focused on different themes. This week students looked at their personal identity and created beautiful visual images that represent who they are.  

School Conferences 

We are excited to connect with families on Thursday, October 24th and Friday, October 25th for School Conferences. Bookings will  open on Saturday, October 19th; a reminder email will be sent to families next week.
