Although this week was short, we had an amazing week of learning and connection, including our first Spotlight activity!

No School Beginning Monday

As you have heard, the ATA teachers’ strike action will begin on October 6. Beginning October 6, teachers will not have access to email during the strike, so communication will be limited.   As the situation is resolved, we will be ready to support students on their return.

For updates involving the strike, please visit the CBE Labour Updates page.

Events Cancelled

All events will be cancelled for the month of October, including School Council. We will notify you about future events upon our return.

Spotlight

We held our first Spotlight today! Spotlight is an opportunity for students to mingle with students from other grades and build relationships more widely across our school community. Spotlight activities are designed to be fun, engaging, collaborative, and hands on. Most activities help students to build social skills, as well as a sense of belonging and connection in our school community.

Today we focused on our own identities and celebrating what we love about our culture. Stay tuned for our final collaborative art piece!

Thanks to a generous donation we were able to share a special treat before the end of the day. We are looking forward to being back together for our next Spotlight activity!
