Spotlight and Pajama Day  

The second Spotlight activity is scheduled for Friday, December 15th. We are very excited to celebrate all of the character traits that make each of us unique!  

December 15 is also Pajama Day! Students are invited to wear their favourite PJs to school for a day of cozy fun!  

Traffic Safety 

Please make sure that your child arrives to school safely! Please attempt to drop students off on the school side of Penbrooke Drive, avoiding the bus zone, rather than having them run across traffic. We are encouraging students to use the crosswalks located just north of the playground so that they can safely cross the road before and after school.  

Students Leaving Early  

We have had an increase in students being picked up unexpectedly during the day for appointments and emergent situations. We encourage families to do their best to book dental / doctor appointments on days off and Friday afternoons, so children do not miss critical learning time at school.  

We also ask that parents communicate with the office when their child does need to be picked up early. 

Please call the office at 403-777-8150 with advanced notice so we can make sure your child is ready to go when you arrive.  

A Look at Learning 

Each week, we will be sharing a resource, game, strategy, or idea that can help our students continue their learning at home!  This week, we are sharing the CBE’s digital decodable books once again! Students use decodable texts in the classroom to support developing their decoding skills. More resources will be added, keep checking back!
